Possession or Distribution of Ecstasy

Ecstasy is considered a Schedule 1 drug, meaning it has no medicinal value and a high chance of being abused or misused. While ecstasy use is a misdemeanor punishable with short jail sentences and fines up to $2,000, ecstasy possession and distribution are both felonies with much more severe consequences.

Distribution of ecstasy charges are much harsher than possession charges and can result in life in prison.
